Yes, the most powerful word in the world!
this time i'd like to talk to you about one word. it's a very powerful word which allows you to live your life in the most positive and energised way. it's a word that separates the moaners from those who live their life in the most positive spirit possible. it's a word that allows you to maximise every heart beat of your existence. the word is yes.
1x1 polls
are you a yes kind of person? think about it before answering. when a friend asks you: ''will you do me a favour?'' do you answer with a 'what' or a 'yes.' when you are up against a challenge do you instinctively say 'yes i can do it.' when you get up in the morning do you think to yourself 'yes i'm alive!' when you are a yes person it means that your mind is open. it is open to suggestion. it is open to cooperation. it is open to sunshine. it is open to a better way of doing things. it is open to wonder! and wonder is probably the most important emotion of all to make us feel alive. when you were a child you used to wonder at so many things. my goodness how big that building is! gosh, i've never seen a redder sunset. hey look at that ladybird! when we grow older we tend to start becoming 'no' kind of people. a no kind of person is cynical, superior and negative. if you tell such a person you saw a fantastic sunset they either look at you as if you are a delinquent child, or they tell you they have seen much better. and that is such a pity, because in all their so-called superiority they never experience life in its purest form. but more in a 'been-there, done-that' way. the magical people are those who refuse to grow up. and i tell you — they have a great time in life. about ten years back when we first came to delhi we used to watch cricket in office. and believe it or not, india used to play worse than it does now! so we'd all sit and groan and say 'oh no, he's going to get out' or 'oh no, we'll never make it!' except one guy. a 45-year young art director called digby. he would say 'yes, he will take a wicket' or 'yes, he'll hit a fourer this ball.' every ball, he'd be squealing like a child. now, most of the time he would be wrong. and most of the time we would lose. but you can guess out of all of us who had the most fun watching the match! make no mistake. i'm not suggesting that's it's better being a yes kind of person because you make the world a better place to live in. or because you make other people happy. that all does happen, but it is secondary. the primary reason for you to be a yes person is to have more fun in your life. no people live their life under a cloud. yes people live their lives in sunshine. no people are constantly fighting and nursing their ego. yes people are very strong and draw other people like a magnet. no people huff and puff through a day. yes people dance through it. and that's what makes yes the most powerful word in the world. it opens doors. it joins people together for a lifetime. it drives away loneliness. it glows in the dark. it helps legs climb mountains. it puts a rainbow at your feet. it keeps life shining and happy. yes or no?
